On Thanksgiving we went for a hike at Frontenac State Park, just south of Red Wing. Hiking around we found a ravine full of rusted out classic cars.
The weather was beautiful when we started out. We drove home in the snow!

Go Houseboat Shopping
Ryan has been excited about living on a houseboat for over a year now. He has been looking and researching life on houseboats for awhile. So, we finally toured a St. Paul Marina (Watergate Marina) and looked at a couple houseboats.

Science Museum of MN
We visited the Science Museum of MN in downtown St. Paul. We saw Tornado Alley at the Omni-theather and explored the exhibits.
We added 2 new pennies to our flattened penny collection!
Visit Zach’s New House
We flew to Kansas City with the dogs for a quick visit to see Zach’s new house and Zach.
In our short stay we had margarita’s at Margarita’s restaurant, explored Smithville Lake, had a hedge-apple throwing contest, cooked a meat cake and Dolores even found time to run away.
Find a Missing Cat
I saw this lost cat sign at a HyVee in Kansas City, MO. Ryan found this cat in Inver Grove Heights, MN. Looks like we found it three states away?

Brew Hard Cider
We bought 5 gallons of cider from Brand Apple Farm in Farmington MN. We put it in the carboy and added some yeast to make hard cider.
Dress Up for Halloween
This year (2012) we dressed up, last minute, as characters from Saturday Night Live sketches.

We headed out as More Cowbell Guy and Classic Peg with our friends Napoleon Dynamite and Deb. We entered a costume contest at the Forest Lake legion. Some witches won instead of us.
Build a Fire… Place
Our heater hasn’t seemed to be working. So instead of fixing it (we do have a call in to our furnace guy but he hasn’t bothered to stop over) Ryan designed and built us a fireplace.
