Each thanksgiving we try to do something active. This year I found us discounted race bibs for the Lifetime fitness 5k in downtown Minneapolis.
Homebirth
We gave birth to Iola at home on Saturday around 10am in a water tub.
Carve pumpkins
The Schmidts came to the cabin and brought pumpkins to carve!
Brew hard cider
We picked up some fresh, unpasteurized, no preservatives added cider from the Brand Apple Orchard in Farmington. It’s now fermenting and slowly turning into tasty hard cider. This is our second year brewing it. Here’s to hoping it’s as delicious as our first batch!
Celebrate 30
Ryan’s is 30. And we celebrate with some family & friends at the cabin.
Waterski like a boss
Ryan attempted to waterski while we were at a friends cabin. He stayed up in the skis for a bit. Most important – he had fun trying.
I was the DDD- designated driver by default.

Remodel a pontoon
We bought a pontoon and fixed it up.
We painted it, installed new carpet & a new driving console.
Kon-tiki Museum
We explored the Kon-tiki museum in Oslo. This museum houses the original Kon-tiki raft that Thor Heyerdahl sailed!
Sailing in Norway
We sailed to the Bolærne islands in Norway. We explored the Østre island which was a former military only island. We had a picnic dinner of Norwegian hot dogs.
