Take a boat to Morocco

We took a ferry from Tarifa to Tangier, Morocco. We arrived in Tarifa around 10am, parked the car, and bought our ferry tickets. In Tangier we were bombarded with tour guides when we got off the boat. We managed to walk into the city and avoid all the guides. We explored the city. We walked through the market full of fresh meat, produce and seafood. We had lunch at Hamadi restaurant. I had vegetable couscous, Ryan had lamb. After, we all had hot mint tea and Moroccan sweets.
After lunch we went shopping- Moroccan rug shopping. We stopped in a shop and Mohammed attempted to sell us rugs while we sipped on mint tea. We bought a large blanket. After shopping we wandered back to the boat.

Ring in 2013 the Spainish Way

We brought in the New Year in Spain.  On New Year’s Eve our Spanish family all gathered at La Misa for an amazing dinner with multiple courses – seafoods, meats and more!  After the meal we all gathered in the living room to sing and watch the New Year’s broadcasted on TV.  At Midnight, we ate 12 grapes, one grape at each bell.  Then we headed out to meet up with friends at a bar.  Happy 2013!

Survive Winter Storm Caesar

There wasn’t too much to survive. The fresh snow confused the dogs when we went out for our morning walk. Dolores peed right outside the condo building door in the snow. When I finally got the dogs to the dog park, they ran hyper through the snow – well, Chata plowed through the snow and Dolores bounded.

The great thing about living in a condo is we don’t have to shovel sidewalks or the drive.
